INTRODUCTION

In the Oxford Dictionary noun, Emotion has two meanings

  1. Representation of facial expression
  2. Strong mental or instinctive feelings such as love or fear

As per the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy term, Emotion in Sanskrit includes two parts (inner feelings) and (External feelings or expressions).

PURPOSE OF EMOTIONS

  1. Emotions make us feel due to our senses
  2. With emotions, we express our feelings, our expressions and थे movement of body parts
  3. It helps another person to know what we are thinking

SOURCES OF EMOTIONS

Sources of Emotions and moods are the following:

  1. Age

The cause of younger age to be the most sensitive age is weak physical and mental strength. As you grow you develop the capacity to control your emotions.

  1. Health

Physical and mental conditions play a big role in the emotional condition of the mind as well as expressions.

With poor health, you tend to become more negative because of an intolerant state of body and mind.

  1. Weather

Weather plays a big role in physical and mental health. It causes a change in the emotional condition of the mind.

The reason is chemical reactions inside the body have effects on the mind.

Hence the thinking process changes the mood or emotions.

  1. Physical and Mental Stress

The stress of either type is not suitable for the functioning of the brain. It affects emotions negatively. Longer duration of stress will cause a weak mental condition.

  1. Social Nature

For being social you need to come out of your shell.

A higher social nature will lead to a positive attitude and good brainpower.

  1. Exercises

Regular exercise is a good reason to keep us healthy. A healthier mind and body will lead to a peaceful soul and a positive attitude, which ultimately balances the mood and emotions.

  1. Deep Sleep

Peaceful deep sleep is important for a balanced mood and mind.

If you work a lot and do not get proper sleep, then you will feel tired.

This in turn causes the hostile nature of an imbalanced mind, mood, and expressions.

To master your emotions take care of above mentioned 7 sources of emotions.

TYPES OF EMOTIONS:

Emotions are of two types, positive and negative.  (-ve. Does the antonym of +ve.)

  1. Sadness and happiness
  2. Disgust and liking
  • Anger or peaceful
  1. Fear and fearlessness
  2. Surprise  and predictable

Because you have positive feelings about the decision, hence you will be well motivated to carry it out.

CONS OF EMOTIONS:

 Because of emotions, we pass faulty information

We become emotionally biased

 We keep insufficient consideration of alternatives

 Emotions cause us to take risqué

 We become prejudice

 Emotion causes a lack of openness

TO MASTER YOUR EMOTIONS IT CAN BE CONCLUDED THAT:

Mental and physical conditions depend on each other. The more we are healthy the better our minds will be.

To be healthy and happy, the mind needs education, the body needs nutrition which ultimately causes Soul satisfaction.

And, you will be able to master your emotions.
